Our Food Safety Achievements

The FSSC 22000 Food Safety System Certification provides a framework for effectively managing food safety and quality responsibilities.   FSSC 22000 is fully recognized by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) and is based on existing International Independent standards: ISO 22000: 2018, sector specific technical specifications for Prerequisite Programs (PRPs) and additional Scheme requirements

With FSSC 22000 certification, there is a global recognition and acceptance that our food safety processes and systems are capable of and are providing safe products to consumers worldwide and we at PZ Wilmar have consistently demonstrated this, year in year out as we comply with all the requirements.

American Institute of Baking now known as AIB International

As a company that produces food and with consumer/customer on our mind, quality and food safety are crucial to us all in all we do. Part of our programs is to get 3rd parties/allies help us optimize, improve, inspect and certify our quality & food safety programs. This will continually help us earn consumer trust.

AIB is one of these 3rd parties/allies. It supports us on training/education, development, documentation, monitoring, strict inspection etc. It has got Consolidated Standards for inspection which checks compliance to its five standards in the Prerequisite and Food Safety programs and this is very rigorous.

With the passion, energy, commitment and team work within the business, we were able to scale through and passed the assessment. This will be sustained on an annual basis.

Halal foods are those that are free from any components that Muslims are prohibited from consuming according to Islamic law.

We are certified by Halal Certification Europe (HCE) and this means our Muslim’s faithful’s can continue to buy, consume (and give to loved ones) our range of high quality products (Vegetable Oil, Margarine, Shortening and Seasoning) under the Mamador and Kings Brands) without any fear of going against their faith.

Some of the benefits of a fully certified Food Safety Management System include:

Consistency: A well-implemented Food Safety Management System can help businesses consistently produce safe, quality food that meets specification.

Due diligence: A Food Safety Management System helps demonstrate that management is meeting its legal responsibilities in relation to food safety legislation/regulation and is doing it so effectively.

Consultation: A systematic approach to processes ensures that employees and other stakeholders are involved in the business and are aware of food safety concerns before they become larger problems.

Cost efficiencies: A well-functioning Food Safety Management System will deliver long-term cost efficiencies by helping businesses reduce their risk of contamination and waste caused by costly food recalls
